Kevin Hughes and Heather Zenone (Cherokee) presented Ayazuta so that attendees, from South Dakota, Montana, Illinois, California, and The Bureau of Indian Affairs could understand how Ayazuta can help organizations reduce costs, increase compliance, and allow case workers to focus on getting better outcomes for Indian children. The group walked through the systems capabilities and discussed ICWA noticing issues. Many attendees liked the concept of a searchable database for ICWA contacts, as well as the potential for automation of the ICWA notice process, quotes coming soon!
